The mini-hotel Shelfort on Vasilievsky Island was opened in June, 2001. The hotel is housed in the wonderful newly restored building built in the beginning of the 19th century. Its convenient location puts you just minutes away from one of the most beautiful places in Saint Petersburg - the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island. There such famous landmarks as the Kunstkammera (Chamber of Curiosities), the Stock Exchange and the Rostral columns are situated.
From there a splendid view on the parade Saint Petersburg opens, so you could admire majestic ensemble of the Winter Palace, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Admiralty. The closest metro station (Vasileostrovskaya) is only 500 meters away from the hotel so you can easily get to any part of the city.

Rooms

The hotel has 15 rooms (two luxury suites, nine double rooms and four single rooms). Standard room consists of a small anteroom with a wardrobe, a living room and a bathroom.
All rooms feature color TV set and phone. Modern design, elegant European furniture, wonderful parquet floor and high ceiling create home-like atmosphere of comfort. Bathrooms, equipped with modern European sanitary ware, have a shower cabin, washbasin and a toilet bowl. The restored fireplaces adorned with original tiles dating back to the first half of the 20th century are the central decor element of the elegant suites, where the charm of the past and the modern comfort blend well with each other.
