Hotel description

The oldest in the city and the first five-star hotel in the country, the Grand Hotel Europe again opened its doors to the visitors after the extensive renovation carried out in the 1990s. Nowadays the historical facade hides the most modern rooms that offer the first-class accommodation. The hotel building was constructed in 1824 to the design of architect Rossi, the author of many monumental architectural constructions that determined Petersburg center ensemble.

Rooms

In all there are 301 rooms of different classes: standard rooms, superior rooms, junior suites and suites. The rooms differ in size and layout but all are of one historical style and recreate the refined atmosphere of Imperial Petersburg luxury. In rooms' decor authentic objects, furniture and paintings of the 19th century were used. The first floor is totally devoted to the non-smoking guests.

Each room consists of an entranceway, a bedroom with twin, double or king-size bed and a bathroom. Standard room amenities include a mini-bar, personal safe, satellite TV, direct-dial international phone, air conditioning, writing desk and armchairs.
